A tweet reportedly
sent out early Monday morning by Detroit Lions tight end Joseph Fauria — then
quickly deleted, in that telltale sign of guilt — suggested some
unsportsmanlike conduct between his girlfriend, Erika Hammond, and Seattle
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

The last line is a
reference to the scandal swirling around Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco
Murray, accused by former college teammate Brennan Clay of sleeping with Clay’s
wife. Last week, Clay posted alleged sexts between Murray and wife Gina D’Agostini,
from whom Clay is filing for divorce.

Fauria on Twitter:
Of course, Fauria
has earned a reputation as a certified football goof. In addition to the
increasing absurdity of his touchdown celebrations, the 6-foot-7 Fauria has a
finely tuned social media sensibility — witness this adorable
tripped-over-the-dog injury alibi — and might be looking to add pot-stirring
hoaxer to his resume.
Just Sunday,
Hammond — a former WWE Diva-in-training — proudly retweeted a video of Fauria’s
latest post-TD antics.
And it seems
Fauria is now suffering from a major case of tweeters remorse having posted the
following mea culpa:
